Do you drive lorries and want to carry people instead of goods in future? The conversion is tailored individually to your previous experience, and you arrange the dates one by one.
Requirements
For the conversion, you need:

Category C driving licence
You already drive category C lorries.

Category D learner’s permit
Apply for the learner’s permit at the road traffic office of your canton of residence.

Minimum age 21
The minimum age for category D is 21.

- Preparation course and theory test
- Driving lessons, number depending on experience
- CPC (CZV) initial training, as needed depending on experience

Save on compulsory lessons
The compulsory lessons are waived if you can show that you have driven lorries for more than 500 hours in the last two years. For this, your employer completes the relevant application form of your cantonal road traffic office.
