Experience the magic of Advent in Alsace and enjoy relaxed days on board the MS Serenade 2, moored festively in Strasbourg. From here you can discover the region's most beautiful Christmas markets, from the famous Christkindelsmärik in Strasbourg to the romantic lanes of Riquewihr.
Day 1: Switzerland - Alsace
Journey to Colmar. Arrival approx. 10:30. During Advent, Colmar is transformed into an enchanting winter wonderland. The historic buildings and narrow lanes of the old town are festively decorated and glow in warm light. In the afternoon, continue to Strasbourg, the "European capital". Few other cities combine an intriguing history with the idea of a united Europe as much as this metropolis on the Rhine. After arrival and embarkation, you will discover the excellent cuisine of the MS Serenade 2 at your first dinner on board your "floating hotel".
Day 2: Strasbourg
The coach will take you to the centre of Strasbourg and back.
Spend the day exploring the Christmas market of Strasbourg in depth. It is the highlight and a genuine historic sensation at Christmas, as the market has been held since 1570. It is considered one of the most beautiful and elaborate Christmas markets in France. The streets of the old town are enchantingly decorated and try to outdo one another in sophistication. You feel as if you are in a town made of gingerbread and lights, where festive anticipation can be felt everywhere. Stroll through the lanes and let yourself be enchanted by the treats offered at the market's various stalls. In the heart of the city, on the „Place Kléber“, a giant Christmas tree elicits gasps of "Oohs" and "Aahs". Return to the ship. After dinner, you can end the day in a relaxed atmosphere in the panorama bar.
Day 3: Alsace - Switzerland
After disembarkation, travel to Obernai. Discover charming Obernai with its atmospheric Christmas market, set around the historic market square, where Alsatian specialities and lovingly decorated stalls invite you to linger. In the afternoon, the picturesque Riquewihr awaits, whose winding lanes and festively decorated half-timbered houses form a particularly romantic backdrop for one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in the region. Return journey to Switzerland.
