Away from the summer bustle, when the island blooms pink
When millions of almond trees turn the island into a delicate pink sea in February and March, Majorca shows its quietest and most beautiful side. Away from the summer bustle, you experience the island in pleasant tranquillity. You choose how you travel: comfortably by coach via Barcelona and the relaxing overnight ferry, straightforwardly by air, or a combination of both. From your well-kept beachfront hotel on the Playa de Palma, you discover the most beautiful sides of the island during your stay.
Day 1: Switzerland - Southern France
Journey through Switzerland and France to the Montpellier area. Check-in at a good 4-star hotel, shared dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Barcelona - Overnight ferry
Onward journey to Barcelona. On a guided city tour, you discover the Catalan metropolis around the Plaça de Catalunya, the elegant Passeig de Gràcia and the famous La Rambla. Shared dinner in the harbour district of Barceloneta, before you board the overnight ferry to Palma in the evening.
Day 3: Palma de Mallorca
Arrival early in the morning and breakfast. On a city tour, you experience Palma with its imposing Gothic cathedral and the winding lanes of the old town. Afterwards, check-in at your hotel on the Playa de Palma.
Day 4: Alcúdia and the North
A full day in the unspoilt north of the island awaits you. You stroll through the traditional weekly market in Alcúdia with its stalls full of fruit, olives and handicrafts, and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view from the Mirador de El Colomer over the rugged cliff coast. A wine tasting with island wines rounds off the day in fine style.
Day 5: Free day
A day entirely to your taste: relaxing on the beach, in your hotel's wellness area, or exploring Palma on your own.
Day 6: Serra de Tramuntana
The journey takes you through the UNESCO-protected Tramuntana mountains, the most beautiful mountain range on the island. You visit the idyllic artists' village of Valldemossa, the picturesque Deià with its stone houses, and Sóller, surrounded by orange groves. Along the way, photo stops among the pink-blossoming almond trees invite you to linger.
Day 7: Caves and east coast
Visit to Porto Cristo with entry to the impressive Cuevas del Drach and its underground lake. In the afternoon, you discover the picturesque Cala d'Or.
Day 8: Palma - Switzerland
Return flight to Switzerland.
Note on the 2nd departure date
For the departure from 08.03. to 15.03.2027, the journey runs in the opposite direction: you fly to Mallorca and make the return journey by overnight ferry and coach via Barcelona. The order of the programme days changes accordingly. Instead of a separate free day, you have the relaxed arrival day at your disposal to explore the island on your own. Half board on this date includes 6 dinners.
Prefer to travel both ways by coach?
If you would like to experience the whole journey comfortably by coach, combine both departure dates into one round trip: you travel out with the first departure by coach and overnight ferry, enjoy an additional week at the hotel on the Playa de Palma and explore the island entirely at your own pace, before returning to Switzerland with the second departure by overnight ferry and coach. Price on request.
