Granada, Cordoba, Seville and Ronda in six days
Andalusia combines Moorish splendour, whitewashed towns and the sunny ease of the Costa del Sol. From your base hotel right on the coast, you will discover the great names of the south in just a few days, from the Alhambra to Seville, comfortably by coach with a flight from Zurich.
Day 1: Switzerland – Málaga – Benalmádena
Flight from Zurich to the sunny south. As you come in to land at Málaga, you are greeted by the warm light of Andalusia. Transfer to your base hotel in Benalmádena on the Costa del Sol, where you will spend the next five nights.
Day 2: Granada
Today is devoted to the world-famous Alhambra. With a local guide you explore the Moorish palace city high above Granada, wander through sumptuous halls with delicate stucco decorations and enjoy the tranquillity of the terraced gardens of the Generalife.
Day 3: Córdoba
Excursion to historic Córdoba. In the heart of the city you visit the unique Mezquita-Cathedral, whose forest of red-and-white marble columns vividly tells the story of two cultures united under one roof.
Day 4: Seville
Seville shows itself at its best. On a guided city tour you see the imposing cathedral, one of the largest in the world, and the famous Giralda. The Andalusian capital enchants with its vibrancy, charm and magnificent buildings.
Day 5: Ronda
Today the route leads to the impressive Ronda. The town sits on a rocky plateau split by a deep gorge, spanned by the famous Puente Nuevo. A walk through the historic old town promises breathtaking views.
Day 6: Benalmádena – Málaga – Switzerland
Time for one last look at the sea before you travel to Málaga airport and fly back to Switzerland with many sunny memories.
You stay for five nights at the selected 4* Hotel Alay (official national category) in Benalmádena, right on the sea by the marina and just a few steps from the beach. The bright rooms feature shower or bath/WC, air conditioning, satellite TV, safe, minibar and hairdryer. Look forward to a restaurant, bar, a rooftop terrace with panoramic pool and outdoor pools. Equivalent hotel should the selected hotel be unavailable.
