Few regions are as varied and charming as South Tyrol. Enjoy the warming sunshine and the cheerful birdsong. The towns welcome their visitors with a southern flair, while the magnificent botanical gardens of Schloss Trauttmansdorff enchant far more than just flower lovers. The main attraction in spring, however, is the apple blossom, which shows the extensive orchards at their most splendid.
Day 1: Switzerland - Natz-Schabs
Journey via Innsbruck with a stop in the medieval town of Vipiteno.
Day 2: Bressanone - Apple orchard
Today you travel to the episcopal city of Bressanone. In the afternoon, take a stroll with an apple expert and enjoy an apple tasting.
Day 3: Bolzano - Wine Road
Drive to Bolzano. On a guided walk you discover the picturesque old town with its well-known arcaded lanes (Laubengasse) and beautiful squares. Then continue along the South Tyrol Wine Road. A winery visit with wine tasting rounds off the day.
Day 4: Merano - Trauttmansdorff
(Optional) Excursion to the botanical gardens of Schloss Trauttmansdorff near Merano. In the spacious grounds around the castle, plants are arranged by theme. In the afternoon you have time for your own discoveries and shopping.
Day 5: Natz-Schabs - Switzerland
Return journey via the Vinschgau to Switzerland.
The family-run 3* Hotel Langhof (official regional category) welcomes you with South Tyrolean hospitality on the high plateau of Natz-Schabs in the Eisacktal. All rooms are comfortably furnished and have a shower/WC, hairdryer and TV. Free Wi-Fi in the reception area. Start your day well fortified with a generous breakfast buffet.
Relax in the wellness area with Finnish sauna, blossom steam bath, Laconium and salt grotto. Equivalent hotel if unavailable.
