La Traviata on the Lake Stage

Following the great success of 2026, you can look forward to Giuseppe Verdi's ‘La Traviata’ on the famous lake stage of the Bregenz Festival in 2027 too. Damiano Michieletto's striking production combines grand opera with the unique backdrop of Lake Constance. You will stay at the exclusive Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Lindau. Particularly convenient: the direct boat transfer from the hotel to the lake stage and back again.

Day 1: Switzerland – Bregenz – Lindau

Journey to Lindau on Lake Constance. Free afternoon. Before taking the boat to the Lake Stage, enjoy a fine festival dinner at the hotel. On the crossing, raise a glass of sparkling wine to the beautiful evening. After the performance, return to Lindau by boat.

Day 2: Lindau – Lake Constance – Switzerland

After a “lie-in breakfast”, travel along the lake to Meersburg. This small, charming town on Lake Constance will delight you. You will have plenty of time to explore the town and the lakeside promenade or to enjoy a meal. Return journey to Switzerland.

Festival ticket, Category 1

If the performance on the Lake Stage is cancelled, you are entitled to attend the concert performance in the Festspielhaus instead.

You stay at the elegant 5* Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Lindau. The hotel sits directly on the harbour and offers a magnificent view of the lake. It features a pleasant spa area with a pool.
