Day 1: Switzerland - Arras

Journey via Reims to Arras, an almost unknown gem with two fantastic squares in Flemish late Gothic style.

The last pick-up point in Switzerland is Basel railway station, Meret Oppenheim Strasse, at 09.10.

Day 2: Great Dixter - Eastbourne

Ferry from Calais to Dover. In the romantic town of Rye, climb the winding lanes up to the Mermaid Inn, which served as a hideout for smuggling gangs. Continue to Great Dixter. Around a 15th-century manor house, particularly colourful plantings take centre stage.

Day 3: Borde Hill - Brighton

Sheffield Park enchants with lakes and waterfalls. Borde Hill Gardens impress with their unique style, from subtropical valleys to refined rose and Italian gardens. To finish, visit the Royal Pavilion, a former royal summer residence in Brighton.

Day 4: Pashley - Sissinghurst

Visit the romantically dreamy private garden of the Sellick family at Pashley Manor. With its pond, the 'Walled Garden' and sculptures, it invites long strolls in every season. Themed gardens and the small castle define the enchanting Sissinghurst. A dream in white: the 'White Garden', as popular in England as no other; the rose garden and cottage garden are no less beautiful.

Day 5: Hampton Court - Thames

(Optional excursion) Visit Hampton Court, the vast former home of the eccentric King Henry VIII. Across its 24-hectare parkland and gardens, the famous maze tempts you to a game of hide-and-seek. Leisurely boat trip on the Thames.

Day 6: Walmer Castle - Lille

The imposing fortress Walmer Castle served for a long time as the residence of the Lord Warden. In the beautiful garden, sheltered from salty Channel winds, an impressive variety of plants and trees thrives. Return to France.

Day 7: Lille - Switzerland

Return journey through Alsace to Switzerland.
