Day 1: Switzerland - Freiburg i.Br.

Journey to Freiburg im Breisgau. The Black Forest capital has plenty to offer, whether you are enthralled by the culture and history of the city on a stroll through the historic old town, relax in one of the many cafés and cosy pubs, or indulge in Baden cuisine. The colourful Christmas market is spread across several squares in the historic old town. Market traders, retailers and local businesses offer lambskin products and nativity figures as well as arts and crafts and antiques. Around a third of the stalls cater for visitors' culinary needs.

Day 2: Freiburg i.Br. - Switzerland

You have the day at leisure to explore Freiburg's charming old town. Stroll along the shopping streets and treat yourself to a break in one of the cosy cafés. Return journey to Switzerland or extra night.

Shopping in Freiburg means strolling through the picturesque narrow lanes (Gässle), past charming boutiques and owner-run shops, and browsing well-known stores along the Kajo shopping mile.

The market takes place on Rathausplatz, Franziskanergasse, Kartoffelmarkt and Unterlinden-Platz.
