Explore the city or do your Christmas shopping, as London is a true shopping paradise! Especially in the run-up to Christmas, the world metropolis has a truly special atmosphere. In the large department stores such as Harrods and Liberty, Harvey Nichols or Selfridges, you can browse warmly for a whole day and admire the exclusive goods. Elegant shopping streets such as Regent Street, Oxford Street, Carnaby Street and the beautifully decorated Covent Garden tempt with a huge selection of tasteful shops. Numerous Christmas markets brighten London's streets and squares and fill the air with the scent of mulled wine and gingerbread. A special Christmas market lies south of the Thames: between Tower Bridge and London Bridge, the stalls of the "Christmas by the River" village turn the riverbank into a Christmas promenade. If you want to keep walking afterwards, make a detour to Borough Market, one of London's oldest food markets.
