Graz Music Scene and South Styria
The White Horse Inn & Symphony Concert
Spring in the south of the Alps. The cultural and culinary capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site is a charming gem that enchants with its winding lanes, lovely inner courtyards and southern flair. A day trip to the South Styrian Wine Road reveals steeply sloping vineyards along the Slovenian border. Highlights include a symphony concert in the famous Stefaniensaal and a performance at the Graz Opera House.
Day 1: Switzerland – Graz
Travel via Salzburg to Graz. Afterwards, dinner awaits you at the hotel, centrally located in the middle of the city.
Day 2: Graz & Concert
In the morning, a guided tour of the historic Old Town, where you will encounter Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture, as well as modern landmarks such as the Murinsel. Enjoy a free afternoon in Austria's capital of culinary delights. Concert aperitif at the hotel, followed by a concert with the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra in the famous Stefaniensaal.
Day 3: Graz & Operetta
A visit to the city's landmark is an absolute must. The Schlossberg Funicular takes you up the hill to the Clock Tower. From up here you enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over the Old Town. The tour ends around midday, followed by a free afternoon. Before the performance, opera aperitif at the Opera café, then the performance at the Graz Opera House.
Day 4: Excursion to South Styria
Excellent white wines ripen in the gentle hills of South Styria, set in an exceptionally beautiful landscape. An oil mill, a delicious wine tasting and a good lunch await you. Return to Graz and free evening.
Day 5: Graz - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
You will stay in the heart of Graz's Old Town at the popular 4* Hotel Weitzer, in Classic Rubin rooms. The Kunsthaus is two minutes away and the Hauptplatz five minutes.
