Once a year, in spring, the country transforms into a true sea of flowers that enchants garden lovers. Throughout the journey, you will be accompanied by Fleurop experts. Discover the unique splendour of millions of blooming tulips at Keukenhof and the lively world city of Amsterdam. Learn from a grower how tulips develop.
Day 1: Switzerland - Velsen-Zuid
Journey to Velsen-Zuid on the North Sea.
Day 2: Keukenhof - Grower - Delft
A colourful morning awaits with a visit to Keukenhof, the world's largest outdoor flower show. Millions of tulips are planted every year and bloom from March to May. You will learn from a grower how the many different flowers are planted. In Delft you will discover a dreamy little town that has kept its original character to this day, with water-lily-covered canals.
Day 3: Aalsmeer Flower Auction - Amsterdam
(Optional) Trip to Aalsmeer to visit the world's largest flower auction. In huge auction halls, more than 10 million flowers are sold every day. Then onward to Amsterdam. Free time in the centre for lunch. In the afternoon, get to know Amsterdam from a different side on a canal cruise.
Day 4: Giethoorn - Volendam
Excursion to the "Green Venice" of Giethoorn. Use your free time for a romantic boat trip through the narrow, idyllic village canals. Then drive through Friesland and across the 32 km-long closing dyke that separates the Wadden Sea from the IJsselmeer, to the romantic fishing town of Volendam.
Day 5: Velsen-Zuid - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
