Cycladic Dreams: Santorini – Naxos – Paros
The Cyclades are a dream destination: white houses under a brilliant blue sky, the azure of the Aegean, fragrant tavernas in small harbour towns. This journey takes you on a delightful island-hopping tour from Santorini via Naxos to Paros, with guided explorations, local tastings and that lightness of spirit only the Greek islands can offer.
Day 1: Switzerland - Athens
Flight to Athens. You arrive in the metropolis, where the Acropolis rises majestically above the city. Thousands of years of history meet modern joie de vivre here.
Day 2: Athens - Santorini
You board the ferry to Santorini in the port of Piraeus. In the afternoon you reach the volcanic island. Your tour guide is already waiting for you here. You can spend the evening on one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean.
Day 3: Santorini - Naxos
You have time to discover further charming corners of Santorini. In the afternoon you cross over to Naxos by ferry.
Day 4: Naxos
Naxos shows you its green heart: agriculture still shapes the island today. You taste the local citron liqueur (kitro) and visit the ancient sanctuary of Demeter, goddess of fertility.
Day 5: Naxos - Paros
Enjoy the day on Naxos. Early in the evening you take the ferry to Paros, about an hour across the sea.
Day 6: Paros
In antiquity, Paros was famous for its gleaming marble. You visit the old quarry and the mountain village of Lefkes with its narrow lanes and white houses. Lunch break in the fishing harbour of Naoussa, where octopus dries in the sun and fishermen mend their nets – genuine island life.
Day 7: Paros - Athens
In the morning the ferry sets off for Piraeus. After a good 4.5-hour crossing you reach Athens. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 8: Athens - Switzerland
Transfer to the airport and return flight to Switzerland.
You stay in good 3* and 4* hotels (official local categorisation), all of which are equipped with comfortable rooms. Equivalent hotels in case of unavailability.
