The enchanting Baroque Christmas market
The dazzling Christmas market is set on the Baroque market square, surrounded by arcades. The uniqueness of this enchanting market can be traced back to ideals from the Baroque era: the glittering stall town, with its fantastic lighting of oversized light towers and angel figures, is unique in Germany.
Day 1: Switzerland - Ludwigsburg
You travel via Stuttgart to Ludwigsburg. Arrival approx. 13:00. The layout of the Christmas market huts, with its symmetrical design, is modelled on a Baroque garden or town layout. The glowing light gates, the radiant angels and the lovingly decorated stalls transport you into an eventful winter wonderland.
Day 2: Ludwigsburg - Switzerland
A stroll through the attractive shops of the town centre is well worth it. Wander across the market square with its two Baroque churches, the arcades and the central statue of the town's founder, Duke Eberhard Ludwig. Or visit his Residence Palace, which with 452 rooms in 18 buildings is known as the "Swabian Versailles". 14:00 Return journey via Stuttgart to the pick-up points or extension night.

Wilhelm Galerie: A popular centre across 2 floors. Here you will find everything your heart desires: from a supermarket to trendy fashion shops, as well as sports and jewellery stores.

The Christmas market
In the middle of the town centre, on the picturesque market square, 160 stalls await you with toys, arts and crafts, nativity scenes, candles, marionettes, Christmas tree decorations, glassblowers with glassware, honey cake, soups, potato dishes, and regional cheese and sausage products.

The 4* Hotel Nestor (official national classification) is housed in the former garrison bakery dating from 1874. In the listed brick building with its large round-arched windows, bread for the military was baked during the garrison period. Today the hotel offers 179 newly renovated non-smoking rooms with bathroom or shower/WC, hairdryer, TV, Wi-Fi and minibar. It also has a restaurant, a bar, a fitness room, a sauna and a steam bath. Equivalent hotel if the original is unavailable.
