Sun, Sea & Metropolises
Experience an unforgettable Mediterranean cruise on board the MSC Magnifica in glorious October. Discover the two fascinating port cities of Marseille and Barcelona, which combine Mediterranean joie de vivre, culture and indulgence in a unique way.
Day 1: Switzerland - Genoa
Journey to Genoa. In Genoa you will take possession of your cabin and can explore the ship. At 5.00 pm the cry of "Cast off!" sounds and the ship sets sail.
Day 2: Marseille
To get a comprehensive impression of the beauty of Marseille's old town, we recommend a detour to the Rue du Panier, which lies not far from the eastern side of the Vieux Port. Green plants, antique shop signs and wonderful restaurants make the old town what it is. Equally lovely is the "Vieux Port", meaning the Old Port of Marseille. This is the heart of Marseille, and along the harbour wall there are many cafés and bars. Try delicious French specialities such as sweet crêpes, a filled baguette or fresh seafood. Near the old port lie the lively shopping streets of Marseille. Stroll through the lanes and enjoy the French flair (arrival 9.00 am / departure 6.00 pm).
Day 3: Barcelona
Experience an exciting day in Barcelona. A highlight of Barcelona is the monumental Sagrada Família church, located in the l'Eixample district. Construction of the church has been under way for 140 years. Another "must see" is Park Güell, the most famous city park. It is adorned with thousands of mosaic tiles.

Day 4: At sea
Take a break and relax at the MSC Aurea Spa, or enjoy a drink on the outdoor deck with a wonderful view of the sea. Every evening spectacular shows await you in the theatre: musicals, comedy, acrobats, games and much more.
Day 5: Genoa - Switzerland
In the morning you will reach the Italian city of Genoa again. Return journey to Switzerland.
Shore excursionsAt the ports of your cruise, MSC Magnifica offers organised shore excursions. These excursions are chargeable and must be booked directly with MSC, or on board the MSC Magnifica where possible.
