A winter fairy tale for the turn of the year
South Tyrol enchants with the spectacular mountain scenery of the Dolomites, charming villages and culinary delights, ideal for a relaxing holiday. In the cold season, the snow-covered winter landscape creates a romantic atmosphere. The varied programme of this coach trip and the family-run Hotel Trudnerhof ensure unforgettable New Year's Eve celebrations.
Day 1: Switzerland - South Tyrol
Drive via the Reschen Pass to Truden and the Hotel Trudnerhof. Lunch stop along the way.
Day 2: Merano
On a walk with a local guide, you will discover Merano with its delightful mix of beautiful buildings and monuments from all eras. Beneath the famous Lauben arcades you will find numerous shops and excellent restaurants. Thanks to its Mediterranean climate, temperatures here rarely fall below freezing, even in winter. Perhaps you'll still stroll through the Christmas market? Back at the hotel, the Franzelin family welcomes you to a festive New Year's Eve dinner with a gala menu, dancing and live music.
Day 3: Bolzano - Castelrotto
Excursion to the regional capital, Bolzano. After a short walk, you will have free time to stroll through the romantic lanes of the old town. The charming old town, with its Gothic arcades known as "Lauben", will transport you back to the Middle Ages. Afterwards, we continue to Castelrotto. The picturesque village is especially famous for its musical tradition. It is the home of the Kastelruther Spatzen.
Day 4: South Tyrol - Switzerland
Return journey via the Brenner Pass to your drop-off point.
You stay in the small, wonderfully cosy
3* Hotel Trudnerhof (official local rating), run by the Franzelin family in a very warm and friendly manner. Andreas Franzelin's refined cooking delights guests with South Tyrolean and Italian specialities. The cosy, comfortable rooms all have a shower/WC, telephone, safe, TV and, in some cases, a balcony. Relax in the small sauna area with steam bath. Entertainment options are limited to the hotel itself. Equivalent hotel if unavailable.
