Opatija & Rijeka: The Treasures of Istria

You visit the former European Capital of Culture, Rijeka, and enjoy a performance in its magnificent opera house. Further highlights include the picturesque coastal towns of Rovinj and Pula, the islands of Cres and Krk, and Croatia's vibrant capital, Zagreb.
Day 1: Switzerland – Opatija
Journey to Opatija and check-in for six nights at the Hotel Kvarner by the sea.
Day 2: Pula - Rovinj - Lim Fjord
Following the coast, you travel to Pula and visit the once important trading and naval port of the K&K Monarchy, with its well-known Roman arena and the Temple of Jupiter.
The journey continues to Rovinj, the pearl of Istria, a town that will enchant you. After sightseeing in Rovinj, you drive to one of Istria's best-known winemakers, Matosevic, for a relaxed wine tasting of excellent Istrian wines.
In the afternoon, we travel through the interior of the Istrian peninsula and via the Ucka Tunnel back to Opatija.
Day 3: Rijeka & Opera
On a guided city tour, you discover the port city of Rijeka and visit the magnificent Ivan Zajc National Theatre. A panoramic boat trip brings you back to Opatija, where you have free time at your leisure. At the National Theatre, you will be welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine before enjoying the performance.
Day 4: Opatija & Concert
On a stroll, you discover the elegant spa resort of Opatija with its splendid villas. At the Villa Angiolina, you enjoy a classical matinee followed by a light lunch on the terrace. The afternoon is at your leisure.
Day 5: Zagreb
The Croatian capital, Zagreb, impresses with historic buildings and elegant squares. On a guided city tour, you discover the Upper and Lower Town. After a shared lunch, there is time at your leisure.
Day 6: Opatija
Enjoy your dream hotel and the beautiful holiday resort.
Day 7: Opatija - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
