Schlager Festival under the Sun of Istria
Look forward to unforgettable spring days on the Croatian Adriatic coast, where musical pleasure meets the Mediterranean way of life. Enjoy a atmospheric schlager festival under the open sky over two evenings, set against the stunning backdrop right by the sea. In between, there is plenty of time to discover the beauty of Istria and enjoy the spring sunshine.
Day 1: Switzerland - Savudrija
Journey to the Croatian coast. In May it shows its very best side: subtropical plants, azure sea and warm temperatures make your stay a highlight from the very start.
Day 2: Croatian Coast & Open Air
After breakfast, you set off with your tour guide on a sightseeing tour of the beautiful small towns along the Croatian coast. Among others, you will visit Poreč. Furthermore, the coastline of around 250 km offers secluded rocky bays, occasional sandy beaches, always clear water for swimming and a mild Mediterranean climate.
In the afternoon there is still plenty of time to rest before the first part of the Schlager festival begins. The Schlager and folk music stars put on a magnificent show in a stunning setting right by the sea. You will be accompanied through the event on both days by a well-known ORF presenter.
Day 3: Rovinj & Open Air
(Optional) Trip to Rovinj, one of the most beautiful coastal towns in Istria. On a guided walk, you will discover the picturesque old town with its narrow alleys, colourful houses and small squares. High above the rooftops stands the Church of St Euphemia, the town's landmark. Afterwards, you will have plenty of free time to stroll along the harbour promenade, stop at one of the cosy cafés or enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere at your own pace.
In the early afternoon you return to the hotel, where you will still have some time to relax. In the evening, the second part of the Open Air festival awaits you, with great atmosphere and musical entertainment right by the sea. A spectacular closing firework display brings the two festival days to a crowning finish.
Day 4: Savudrija - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
