Day 1: Switzerland – Bergamo
Travel via Milan to Bergamo. Arrival early in the afternoon and free time at your leisure. Bergamo, the picturesque city in northern Italy, delights with its historic charm and cultural richness. Dinner together at a carefully selected restaurant.
Day 2: Bergamo & Opera
In the morning, you will explore this charming city and follow in the footsteps of Gaetano Donizetti. A visit to the Donizetti Museum is on the programme. Spend the afternoon browsing the shops along the city's delightful lanes. Before the performance in the evening, enjoy an exquisite opera aperitif with delicate culinary creations from the kitchen and cellar.
Day 3: Excursion to Brescia & Opera
Today you take an excursion to the second cultural capital, Brescia, to visit the famous Loggia and the cathedral. After a guided tour, you will enjoy a delicious lunch before returning to Bergamo. Before the opera, an aperitif awaits you, helping you get in the mood for the upcoming musical experience.
Day 4: Bergamo – Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland. Take the wonderful memories of your cultural discovery trip home with you.
You will stay in the centre at the 4* Hotel Cappello d'Oro. The hotel lies in the heart of Bergamo, not far from the funicular railway that climbs up to the old town. The beautiful, historic building has only recently been renovated and modernised.
