Opera Trip to the Arena di Verona

The city of Romeo and Juliet captivates art lovers and opera fans above all with its world-famous Arena di Verona. Always bathed in warm light, it offers many romantic squares, lanes and impressive sights. The atmosphere in the Arena is and remains unique.
Day 1: Switzerland – Verona
Journey via the Gotthard to Ticino. Lunch including drinks by Lake Lugano. Continue via Milan to Verona. Enjoy the evening atmosphere around the Arena. The hotel is right in the middle of the city.
Day 2: Verona & Opera (optional)
After Venice, Verona is the most important art city in the Veneto. On a walking tour you will see the old town with Piazza delle Erbe, the Castelvecchio and Juliet's House with its famous balcony. The afternoon is free to spend as you wish. Shared dinner at a top restaurant on Piazza Brà next to the Arena. Visit to the opera performance. After the opera, enjoy the atmosphere on the piazza.
Day 3: Verona & Opera (optional)
Late morning city sightseeing tour and visit to the Basilica di San Zeno, one of the most beautiful Romanesque basilicas in Italy. During the tour you will discover breathtaking views over the city. The rest of the day is free to spend as you wish. Visit to the opera performance.
Day 4: Verona - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
You will stay at the outstanding 4* Hotel Giberti in the centre of Verona. The Arena and the historic old town are a 10-minute walk away. The rooms are equipped with a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, TV and safe.
