Once the bustle of summer has faded, Rome is bathed in warm light and a calm, almost magical atmosphere. This journey invites you to experience the city with all your senses, between antiquity, art and autumnal elegance.
Day 1: Switzerland - Rome
Journey to Rome.
Day 2: Ancient Rome
Rome is practically an open-air museum. You begin your ‘Tour of Antiquity’ on the Capitoline Hill with a wonderful view over the Roman Forum. This is followed by the Colosseum and the Via dei Fori Imperiali with the Imperial Forums. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 3: Christian Rome
(Optional) Today you follow in the footsteps of Christian Rome with your tour guide, walking from the hotel to the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica. You admire the largest basilica in Christendom with its precious furnishings. Visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel.
Day 4: Alban Hills
(Optional) An excursion to the picturesque Alban Hills provides a charming contrast to the vibrant city life. Highlights include Castel Gandolfo, the Pope’s summer residence. The day concludes with a wine tasting in Frascati, where regional wines and a light lunch are enjoyed.
Day 5: Rome - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.

The 153 classically elegant rooms feature air conditioning, minibar, safe, desk, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV and bathrooms with shower or bath, bidet and hairdryer. Some rooms also have a balcony or terrace. The hotel’s own restaurant ‘Oasis’ serves Roman and international specialities with a view of the garden. A bar with terrace invites you to linger.
