Day 1: Switzerland - Bressanone

Journey over the Brenner Pass to Bressanone. The backdrop of the venerable cathedral gives the market on the cathedral square its special appeal. Let the lively hustle and bustle, the colours, the scents and the music at the small Christmas market enchant you. Here you will find traditional craftsmanship such as wood carvings, nativity figures, handmade pottery and painted glass baubles, as well as culinary delights. You may wish to visit the traditional nativity exhibition in the Bishop's Hofburg. The arcades, winding alleys and worn cobblestones exert a truly special fascination on visitors. Arrival in Truden in the evening.

Day 2: Merano - Bolzano

Day trip to the most beautiful Christmas markets in South Tyrol. A atmospheric Christmas market has been set up on the Passer promenade in Merano. Here you can watch the craftspeople at work. Music, choirs and traditions will put you in the festive mood. The old town is a true paradise for anyone who enjoys shopping. In the exclusive boutiques, delicatessens, bookshops and jewellers you will find everything your heart desires. Onward journey to Bolzano. Twinkling garlands bring magic to the streets here, where Alpine and Mediterranean culture meet. The aroma of mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and Christmas pastries invites you to linger. The numerous small stalls present traditional, handmade products made of wood, glass and ceramics. Warm up with mulled wine, apple punch or a hot chocolate at the “Sacherhaus” before discovering the city's excellent shopping opportunities. You will also find Gothic arcades here, known as “Lauben”, which form the city's shopping centre.

Day 3: Vipiteno - Switzerland

Journey to the medieval mining town of Vipiteno, which enchants with colourful patrician houses and picturesque shopping streets. Free time for a short stroll through the town and the Christmas market. Return journey to Switzerland.

You will stay at the cosy 3* Hotel Trudnerhof (official regional category) in Truden, which is personally run by the Franzelin siblings

. The rooms are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, TV and safe. Dinner with set menu choices. Truden lies close to Bolzano and is surrounded by unspoilt natural scenery. Entertainment options are limited exclusively to the hotel. Equivalent hotel if unavailable.
