Imagine the lights of the New Year's Eve celebrations bathing the historic setting of Trier in a magical glow. The ancient Roman buildings, the charming lanes and the festive atmosphere come together to create an unforgettable experience that will touch your heart. Trier, the oldest city in Germany, is shaped by its rich Roman history – the impressive monuments such as the Porta Nigra, the Cathedral and the Roman Baths are part of the UNESCO World Heritage and speak of a long-gone era. Besides its historical significance, the city is also influenced by the picturesque Moselle and its proximity to neighbouring countries, which gives it a special diversity.
Day 1: Switzerland - Trier
Drive to Strasbourg. Enjoy free time in the festively decorated old town for a leisurely lunch or a relaxed stroll through the picturesque lanes around the Minster and the 'La Petite France' district. In winter especially, the Alsatian metropolis, with its lovingly decorated half-timbered houses and atmospheric squares, has a very special charm. Afterwards, continue the journey to Trier.
Day 2: New Year's Eve gala
Start the day with a leisurely breakfast at the hotel to gather energy for the day. Then set off on an exciting guided walking tour of Trier, where you can discover the impressive sights and the historic atmosphere of the city. The afternoon is yours to spend freely.
In the evening, look forward to a glittering New Year at the festively decorated hotel. The evening begins with a welcome champagne, before you enjoy a served starter and a varied buffet with soup, main courses and fine desserts. Live music and dancing provide the best entertainment until midnight, when a spectacular firework display in the park welcomes the New Year. Thanks to the included drinks package, nothing stands in the way of a carefree New Year's Eve.
Day 3: Trier - Switzerland
On New Year's Day you can start the day completely relaxed with breakfast at the hotel. Around midday, you will begin your journey home.
