Experience Holland at its most beautiful, when the country blooms in a sea of tulips and colour. Discover the vibrant metropolis of Amsterdam, marvel at the floral splendour of the Keukenhof and enjoy idyllic moments on a boat trip through the picturesque Kagerplassen.
Day 1: Switzerland - The Hague
Journey to The Hague on the North Sea coast.
Day 2: Aalsmeer - Amsterdam
In the morning you visit the world's largest flower auction in Aalsmeer – a fascinating place where over ten million flowers are traded every day. Experience the bustle in the vast auction halls and gain fascinating insights into the international flower trade. Afterwards you continue to Amsterdam, where a guided city tour introduces you to the main sights of this charming canal city. You then have free time to explore the capital at your own pace. Especially worthwhile: a canal cruise, which lets you experience Amsterdam from the water as the ‘Venice of the North’.
Day 3: Keukenhof
A colourful highlight of your trip is a visit to the world-famous Keukenhof, the largest flower show in the world. Millions of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths turn the sprawling park into a fragrant sea of blooms every spring. At midday you stop in the idyllic town of Leiden, whose canals and historic gabled houses exude typical Dutch charm. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxed windmill cruise through the Kagerplassen, an extensive lake district with polder landscapes, grazing cows, windmills and small villages. After this leisurely boat trip, the coach takes you back to The Hague.
Day 4: The Hague - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
The modern 3* Holiday Inn Express The Hague (official national category) is centrally located in The Hague, close to the Binnenhof and Mauritshuis. The comfortable rooms
offer shower/WC, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, TV, a desk and tea and coffee facilities. A continental breakfast buffet and a hotel bar ensure a pleasant stay. Equivalent hotel if the original is unavailable.
