Rugged Coastlines – Lighthouses – Characterful Villages
Explore the north of France on foot! Brittany is renowned for its myths, legends and sagas. Lonely beaches alternate with rugged cliffs that shimmer white and pink. Often photogenic, complemented by a lighthouse such as the Phare d'Eckmühl. The spectacularly situated old town of Concarneau is the starting point for your daily walking excursions.
Day 1: Switzerland - Blois
Journey via Basel to Blois.
Day 2: Blois - Concarneau
You travel via Angers and Nantes to Concarneau. The hallmark of this coastal town is the "Ville Close", once built as an island fortress.
Day 3: Phare d'Eckmühl
During a guided town tour, you first get to know Concarneau better. The coach then takes you to the well-known Eckmühl Lighthouse, where your guided walk begins. It offers breathtaking views and ends in Guilvinec. (Walking time approx. 2 hrs)
Day 4: Trégunc
Coastal walk from Concarneau via Porzou to Pouldohan and Trégunc. Free time in Concarneau. (Walking time approx. 3.5 hrs)
Day 5: Île de Sein
In Audierne you cross by boat to the picturesque Île de Sein, where your circular walk begins. The island is a little paradise where colours, spray and warm hospitality come together. The climb up the lighthouse is well worth it. In fine weather and with good visibility you can also see the Ar-Men Lighthouse. (Walking time approx. 2.5 hrs)
Day 6: Plage Tahiti - Port Manec'h
Drive to Plage Tahiti. To finish, an easy walk to Port Manec'h in Finistère. The coach then continues to Pont-Aven. The picturesque town will delight you with its idyllic setting. (Walking time approx. 2 hrs)
Day 7: Concarneau - Chartres
A visit to the famous and impressive cathedral in Chartres is a must.
Day 8: Chartres - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
You will stay for 5 nights at the selected 3* Hotel Brit L'Océan (official national category) directly on the seafront promenade of the coastal town of Concarneau. The historic fortifications and the fishing harbour are within walking distance. Relax in the seasonally heated, covered swimming pool or the sauna. Accommodation in Blois and Chartres in first-class hotels. Equivalent hotels if unavailable.
