Immerse yourself in the maritime splendour of the North Sea and East Frisia. This walking tour has everything for a wonderful stay: a breath of fresh North Sea wind, the impressive Wadden Sea, glorious dune landscapes, picturesque fishing villages, windmills and friendly East Frisians.
Day 1: Switzerland - Hanover
Journey via Basel and Frankfurt to Hanover.
The last boarding point in Switzerland is Basel, Meret Oppenheim-Strasse, at 09.10.
Day 2: Münsterland - Jever
Journey into the Münsterland, known for its numerous moated castles. Leisurely walk to Hülshoff Moated Castle. Onward journey to East Frisia. (Walking time approx. 2.5 hrs)
Day 3: Wadden Sea walk to Baltrum
Today, with an experienced guide, you will cross the impressive Wadden Sea to the island of Baltrum. The afternoon is at your leisure. (Walking time approx. 3 hrs)
Day 4: Sluice village walk
Today you walk along the Wadden Sea from Bensersiel to Ostbense. Coach ride to Seriemer Mühle. Continue walking to Neuharlingersiel and over the dyke to Harlesiel. Paddle steamer trip on the Harle. (Walking time approx. 4 hrs)
Day 5: Coastal walk
Today's walk takes you from Hooksiel to Horumersiel along the outer dyke through the Crildumer Bay, returning via old dykes and the Groden. (Walking time approx. 4 hrs)
Day 6: Island of Langeoog
Ferry to the island of Langeoog and a short ride on the island railway. Afterwards, walk through varied dune landscapes. (Walking time approx. 3 hrs)
Day 7: Wittmund - Bremen - Hamm
City walking tour of Bremen. Journey to Hamm.
Day 8: Hamm - Switzerland
Return journey from Hamm to Switzerland.

Due to the tides, the order of the walks on days 3 to 6 may change. The programme remains the same.
You stay in carefully selected 3* and 4* hotels (official national category). In the heart of East Frisia, in Jever, you will spend 5 nights at the family-run 3* Hotel Schützenhof (official national category). The comfortable rooms are equipped with a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, cable TV and minibar. Excellent regional cuisine is served in the restaurant. Enjoy the generous wellness area with swimming pool. Equivalent hotels if unavailable.
