Day 1: Switzerland – Portoferraio
You travel by Comfort coach to Piombino, then take the ferry across to Portoferraio. In the late evening you arrive at your hotel and enjoy dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Day 2: Capo di Calamita & visit to Capoliveri
Today takes you through pine forest around the “magnet mountain” Monte Calamita. On the walk of about three hours you will enjoy fascinating views over the bay of Porto Azzurro. In the afternoon you visit the picturesque mountain village of Capoliveri, perched high above the sea, which rewards you with magnificent panoramas.
Day 3: Monte Capanne
Today you walk through charming mountain villages to Elba's highest point, Monte Capanne. The magnificent views over Tuscany and the Mediterranean are a fitting reward for this more demanding stage.
Day 4: Napoleon's Way
Today you follow the path that Napoleon had built to reach his summer residence. From Monte Tambone you walk through green maquis and arrive at San Martino. In the afternoon you explore Portoferraio, the island's main town.
Day 5: Five-bay walk Viticcio - Procchio
Today the coach takes you to the fishing village of Viticcio. From here you walk through oak woods to the sandy beach at Procchio. The 600-metre-long, fine-sand beach nestles like an amphitheatre into the vegetated coastline. Time for a stroll along the beach or a swim in the sea.
Day 6: Portoferraio - Switzerland
Departure after unforgettable walking days, returning to Switzerland.
The 4* Hotel Fabricia (official national rating) is set near Portoferraio, surrounded entirely by Mediterranean flora, olive trees and the scent of the sea. A generous, lovingly landscaped garden creates an oasis of calm, ideal for relaxation and exploration. All rooms are equipped with a bathroom or shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, TV and minibar. An equivalent hotel will be provided if the original is unavailable.
