Hamburg celebrates
Hamburg is celebrating 10 years of the Elbphilharmonie, a wonderful occasion for a special music trip to the Hanseatic city. The highlight is the grand anniversary concert featuring works by Mendelssohn, Beethoven and Wagner. A city tour along the Alster and the Elbchaussee, the great harbour cruise and a stroll through the historic Speicherstadt show Hamburg at its very best. You will stay comfortably at the centrally located Hamburg Marriott Hotel.
Trip details
Day 1: Switzerland - Hamburg
Journey to Hamburg and check-in at the Hamburg Marriott Hotel in the heart of the city. In the evening, enjoy a dinner together and a relaxed start to your trip.
Day 2: Discovering Hamburg
On a comprehensive city tour, you will discover the most beautiful sides of the Hanseatic city. The route leads past the Alster, through elegant districts and along the famous Elbchaussee with its stately villas and lovely views over the Elbe. The afternoon is free at your leisure. Optionally, you can visit the fascinating Miniatur Wunderland in the Speicherstadt, home to the largest model railway layout in the world.
Day 3: Port of Hamburg
Today a grand harbour cruise awaits you. From the water you will experience the impressive scale of the Port of Hamburg, the Landungsbrücken, container terminals and the modern HafenCity. Afterwards, there is time to enjoy Hamburg at your own pace.
Day 4: Anniversary Concert
At 11.00am you will experience the musical highlight of the trip: the grand concert marking 10 years of the Elbphilharmonie, featuring works by Mendelssohn, Beethoven and Wagner. Afterwards, enjoy a lunch together in the Speicherstadt. In the afternoon, a one-hour walking tour of the historic quarter awaits you, with its characteristic brick buildings, canals and bridges.
Day 5: Hamburg - Switzerland
After breakfast, it is time to say farewell to Hamburg. Return journey to Switzerland.
