Jesus Christ Superstar
This trip takes us to the cultural heart of Germany, to Erfurt, Weimar, Gotha and Eisenach. We discover historic towns with well-preserved architecture, visit important cultural sites and enjoy special musical moments. A varied programme of guided tours, free time and atmospheric evening performances awaits you.
Journey to Erfurt. Check-in at the hotel and dinner there.
Erfurt's old town impresses with historic buildings, narrow lanes and beautiful squares. As it was barely damaged in the Second World War, it is considered Germany's largest protected historic area. The Krämerbrücke is particularly famous: Europe's longest continuously built-up and inhabited bridge, where traders already sold their goods in the Middle Ages. In the morning, a city tour takes us past the most important sights. The afternoon is free. Late in the afternoon we visit the Bach House in Eisenach. During a special guided tour we experience Bach's music in an interactive way. A concert on baroque instruments and a shared dinner round off the day in an atmospheric way.
After breakfast we travel to the former residence city of Gotha. The old town is largely under heritage protection and impresses with its historic character. The highlight is a visit to Friedenstein Palace, which towers above the town. Dinner at the hotel. Afterwards you will experience the performance of the opera "La Traviata" at the Domstufen-Festspiele. A cultural highlight against a special backdrop.
The city impresses with a wealth of cultural monuments, many of them UNESCO-protected. The best known include the homes of Goethe and Schiller, the City Palace and the Duchess Anna Amalia Library. In the morning we explore Weimar on a guided tour. After a long lunch break we return to Erfurt, where the evening is free.
