Discover Italy's largest lake by e-bike
Mountains to the north, plains to the south: Lake Garda offers a wealth of wonderful experiences awaiting us. Many well-developed cycle paths invite us to explore the region. To the west they take us as far as Brescia, and to the south-east to the Mincio. At the northern end of Lake Garda we also reach true gems such as the Loppio nature reserve and Lago di Toblino. Whether we marvel at monuments of Roman architecture or enjoy the culinary creations of today's chefs, come along and enjoy the attractive combination of "activity" and "being pampered"!
Day 1: Switzerland – Torbole
Journey to Lake Garda, to Torbole.
Day 2: Arco
Along the cycle path beside the River Sarca, the route passes vineyards and olive groves to Arco, an elegant town with medieval charm beneath an imposing rocky castle. Continue through the Marocche biotope with its bizarre glacial boulders, past Lake Cavedine. (45 km)
Day 3: Lake Garda – Rovereto
Over the Passo San Giovanni, one of the most accessible Alpine passes, and along the famous Wine Road through the Vallagarina, you reach Rovereto with its Venetian-Baroque old town beneath a majestic castle. At a historic winery, you will enjoy a tasting of representative wines from the region. (50 km)
Day 4: Lake Tenno – Canale di Tenno
On quiet side roads and cycle paths you reach the emerald-green Lake Tenno, one of the natural jewels of Trentino. Continue to Canale di Tenno, one of Italy's most beautiful medieval villages, with stone lanes and superb views over Lake Garda. Lunch at an agriturismo serving Trentino specialities. (35 km)
Day 5: Malcesine – Val di Sogno
By coach along the spectacular Gardesana lakeside road to Malcesine, where your tour begins on the slopes of Monte Baldo, the “Garden of Europe”, and leads through the picturesque Val di Sogno. Back in Malcesine, the old town overlooked by the Scaligero Castle invites a stroll before you return to Torbole by ferry. (35 km)
Day 6: Lake Garda – Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
You stay at the selected 4* Hotel Piccolo Mondo (official local category) in Torbole. All rooms are equipped with shower or bath/WC, air conditioning, safe, TV, minibar and balcony. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, indoor pool, outdoor pool, wellness area with sauna, garden, lift and free Wi-Fi. Equivalent hotel if unavailable.
Good to know
Boarding with your own e-bike is possible in Windisch and Lucerne.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory. Short-notice changes to the daily stages and programme are possible.
Maximum 15 guests per tour leader.
Level of difficulty
Enjoyment and relaxation are at the heart of this trip. Leisurely daily stages of 35 to 50 km and 250 to 600 metres of ascent, which thanks to the e-bike are pleasant to ride without special fitness. Mainly quiet side roads and well-developed cycle paths, gently hilly terrain. Some short sections are unsurfaced or gravel, but easily ridden.
