Graz's Musical Life and South Styria
White Horse Inn & Symphony Concert
Spring in the southern Alps. Graz, the capital of culture and fine food and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a charming gem that delights with its winding lanes, magnificent courtyards and Mediterranean flair. An excursion to the South Styrian Wine Route reveals steeply sloping vineyards along the Slovenian border. Highlights include a symphony concert in the famous Stefaniensaal and a performance at the Graz Opera.
Trip details
Day 1: Switzerland – Graz
Journey via Salzburg to Graz. Dinner awaits you at the hotel, centrally located in the middle of the city.
Day 2: Graz & Concert
In the morning, a city tour of the historic old town, where you will encounter Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture as well as modern landmarks such as the Murinsel. Enjoy a free afternoon in Austria's capital of culinary delights. Concert aperitif at the hotel, followed by a concert with the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra in the famous Stefaniensaal.
Day 3: Graz & Operetta
A visit to the city's landmark is of course a must. The Schlossberg funicular takes you up the hill to the Clock Tower. From up here you have a magnificent panoramic view over the old town. The tour ends around midday, followed by a free afternoon. Opera aperitif at the Opera Café before the performance, followed by an evening at the Graz Opera.
Day 4: Excursion to South Styria
In the gentle hills of South Styria, outstanding white wines mature in uniquely beautiful surroundings. An oil mill, a delicious wine tasting and a good lunch await you. Return to Graz and free evening.
Day 5: Graz - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
You will stay in the heart of Graz's old town at the popular 4* Hotel Weitzer in Classic Ruby rooms. The Kunsthaus is two minutes away and the Hauptplatz five minutes.
