Hamburg celebrates its Port Anniversary
Cast off for the maritime highlight of the year. The world's largest harbour festival takes place for the 838th time in 2027 and draws millions of visitors to the River Elbe. Experience historic windjammers up close and enjoy the spectacular parade of ships departing past the Landungsbrücken. Goosebumps guaranteed!
Day 1: Switzerland - Hamburg
In the morning, departure from your boarding points in Switzerland. In the evening you reach Hamburg and check into your comfortable hotel.
Day 2: Hamburg - Sylt - Rømø
Today the fascinating island of Sylt is the focus. A guided island tour shows you the characteristic west coast with its impressive landscapes. Afterwards, a ferry crossing takes you to the Danish island of Rømø – an unspoiled island between the North Sea and the Wadden Sea.
Day 3: Rømø - Ribe - Odense
From Rømø you travel to Ribe, Denmark's oldest town, with its medieval half-timbered houses and picturesque lanes. A walking tour reveals the treasures of this historic town. Afterwards you continue to Odense and check into your hotel.
Day 4: Odense - Copenhagen
Odense shows its charming character on a walking tour through narrow lanes and historic squares. Next comes the highlight of the trip: Copenhagen enchants with royal palaces, the colourful Nyhavn and lively neighbourhoods. A detailed guided tour reveals the history of this elegant capital.
Day 5: Copenhagen - Stralsund
Today you continue to Gedser and, by ferry, back to Germany. You then drive on to Stralsund and enjoy a free evening.
Day 6: Stralsund - Leipzig
Final stage: journey to Leipzig, the city of music and art. A guided tour of the city is followed by free time for further exploration.
Day 7: Leipzig - Switzerland
Return journey to your boarding points in Switzerland.
You stay for 4 nights at the selected 4* Hotel Crowne Plaza Hamburg-City Alster in the popular Hamburg district of St. Georg/Hohenfelde, just 200 m from the Alster. The hotel offers all the comforts of a good first-class hotel. Equivalent hotel if unavailable.
