Trip details
Day 1: Switzerland - Nijkerk
Journey through Alsace, Luxembourg and Belgium to Nijkerk.
Day 2: Keukenhof and Delft
A colourful morning awaits with a visit to the Keukenhof, the largest outdoor flower show in the world. Millions of tulips are planted every year, blooming from March to May. You will learn from a grower how the many different flowers are planted. Afterwards, you stroll with a guide through the charming town of Delft, which has preserved its original character with water-lily-covered canals to this day.
Day 3: Rotterdam & Kinderdijk
In the morning you discover Rotterdam on a harbour cruise through the largest seaport in Europe. In the afternoon you experience the famous windmills of Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on a relaxed boat trip and a walk through the historic windmill landscape.
Day 4: Aalsmeer flower auction and Amsterdam
Drive to Aalsmeer to visit the largest flower auction in the world. In huge auction halls, more than 10 million flowers are sold every day. Then continue to Amsterdam. Free time in the centre for lunch. In the afternoon, a canal cruise shows you Amsterdam from a different perspective.
Day 5: Flower parade and Volendam
A highlight of the trip is the world-famous Bloemencorso Bollenstreek. From reserved grandstand seats in Noordwijk, you experience the colourful spectacle of lavishly decorated floats adorned with spring flowers, music and imaginative displays up close. In the afternoon you visit the traditional fishing villages of Volendam and Marken with their typically Dutch charm.
Day 6: Nijkerk - Switzerland
Return journey to Switzerland.
