Comfort Flight & Coach Tour Palawan - one of the most beautiful islands in the Philippines!
On this very special trip, Claudio Schoch and Marisa Mathys invite you to their adopted home and personally show you the most fascinating corners of the island. Away from the well-trodden tourist trails, you will discover Palawan through the eyes of two people who have found a new home here. Look forward to unspoilt nature, impressive coastal landscapes and authentic encounters.
Flight from Zurich via Hong Kong to Manila.
You arrive in Manila in the afternoon, where Marisa and Claudio are already waiting for you. Together you travel to the centrally located hotel in Makati – the modern business and lifestyle district of the Philippine capital. Take a leisurely stroll through the lively district and gain a first impression of urban life in Manila.
Flight to Puerto Princesa, the capital of Palawan. In the evening you will enjoy a delicious dinner at the popular seafood restaurant KaLui, whose artistic décor and special atmosphere offer a real experience for all the senses.
On a city tour you discover the charming capital Puerto Princesa and gain fascinating insights into the island's nature and culture at the Palawan Museum and on a butterfly farm. You then visit the extraordinary Iwahig prison – a "prison without walls" – where a guided tour and a traditional dance performance let you experience the special history of this place. After dinner, a magical end to the day awaits you: a boat trip on the Iwahig River, where thousands of fireflies light up the night.
At home with Marisa and Claudio, you take a very personal look behind the scenes of life on Palawan – and behind the hard shell of the coconut. You learn fascinating facts about this versatile stone fruit and experience genuine hospitality. You then continue to Sabang, where an authentic Vietnamese lunch awaits you along the way. After checking in at the hotel, there is time to relax on the idyllic beach.
The Puerto Princesa Underground River, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, is considered one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature. On a guided paddle tour you glide through a mysterious limestone cave system filled with bizarre rock formations, tropical echoes and the beating wings of countless bats. A fascinating natural experience that you will remember for a long time.
In the morning you take a relaxed paddle tour through the enchanted mangrove forests of Sabang and discover the unique flora and fauna of this sensitive ecosystem. The journey then continues along the coast to Port Barton – on the way you enjoy a delicious lunch at the stylish Hotel Astoria. After checking in, you have time to explore the charming fishing village and its paradisiacal beach on your own. In the evening, round off the day with an atmospheric dinner in a local restaurant.
Today your journey takes you to Taytay, once the capital of Palawan and known for its historical heritage. There you visit the imposing Spanish Fort Santa Isabel, which majestically overlooks the bay. After lunch in a local restaurant, you continue to El Nido. Explore the lively coastal town with its colourful lanes and relaxed atmosphere, before ending the evening at the popular El Nido Boutique Artcafe – run by a Swiss woman and prized for its creative cuisine and relaxed mood.
Island hopping in El Nido takes you to the spectacular Bacuit Bay – a true natural paradise with turquoise lagoons, secret coves and striking limestone cliffs. By boat you reach remote dream islands accessible only by water and experience the unspoilt beauty of Palawan at first hand. A day full of impressive views, crystal-clear water and unforgettable island moments awaits you.
Domestic flight from El Nido to Manila.
On an exciting city tour and a boat trip, you delve into Manila's eventful history. Particularly impressive is the visit to the colonial district of Intramuros – the "Walled City" – founded during the Spanish colonial period. Cobblestones, massive city walls and well-preserved buildings such as churches and fortresses tell of the colonial heritage of the Philippines and bring past centuries to life.
