Sparkling Prosecco, fine grappa and quiet walled towns: from your base hotel in the picturesque Bassano del Grappa, you explore the gentle hills of the Veneto with e-bike assistance. Every ride leaves plenty of time for views, tastings and a leisurely stop for refreshments.
Trip details
Day 1: Switzerland – Bassano del Grappa
Grappa
Journey through Switzerland to Italy and the Veneto. You check into your base hotel in picturesque Bassano del Grappa, famous for its covered wooden bridge over the River Brenta and its grappa tradition.
Day 2: Monferrato Round Trip
After starting the bike tour, we see the imposing church of Treville in the distance. We ride on narrow roads through woods and vineyards to Piazzale, one of the most beautiful places in Monferrato. We visit the Romanesque church of San Quirico and pass the picturesque villages of Cella Monte and Rosignano Monferrato. 58 km
Day 3: Barolo Round Trip
We travel by coach into the heart of the Barolo region and discover gentle vineyards and the most beautiful villages: La Morra with its superb views, Barolo with its striking castle and Monforte d'Alba with its charming lanes. Finally, a wine tasting at a winery in Roddi. 35 km
Day 4: Along the Po to Turin
In the morning our bike tour starts in Moncalieri on the bank of the Po. We follow the river along pleasant cycle paths into the centre of Turin and get to know the city by bike. We then continue through the idyllic countryside to Chivasso, where the coach awaits for the return journey. 41 km
Day 5: The Rice Fields of Piedmont
From the hotel we descend to the plain and ride through the wide rice fields along the Po, with views of the hills of Camino. During a guided tour of a historic rice mill, we learn interesting facts about rice cultivation. Later we ride back into Monferrato and enjoy the stage with gentle climbs and lovely views. 49 km
Day 6: Between Hills and Castles
Our tour begins in the hills overlooking the Po. Via Cantavenna and Gabiano, past the picturesque castle, we reach the UNESCO sanctuary of Crea. Onward via Ponzano to Moncalvo, Italy's smallest city. Return to the hotel by coach or optionally by bike. 38 km
Day 7: Return to Switzerland
Journey home after breakfast.

You stay at the 4* Bonotto Hotel Belvedere (official national category) in the centre of Bassano del Grappa, a few minutes' walk from the Gebirgsjägerbrücke. The hotel has a restaurant, a piano bar, a reading and TV room, a lift and a bicycle store. The comfortable rooms are equipped with air conditioning, minibar, satellite TV, safe, tea/coffee set and Wi-Fi. Thanks to the central location, the many osterias and restaurants of the old town invite you to discover them on your free evenings. Equivalent hotel if the original is unavailable.

Boarding with your own e-bike is possible in Windisch and Lucerne.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory. Short-notice changes to daily stages and the programme are possible.

Difficulty level
Enjoyment and relaxation are at the heart of this trip. Daily stages of 40 to 60 km and 100 to 500 metres of ascent, comfortable to ride thanks to the e-bike. You travel on quiet side roads and well-developed cycle paths through the gentle hills of the Veneto. Some short sections are unsurfaced or gravel, but easily rideable.
