Deluxe coach trip to Ghent - Antwerp - Brussels - Bruges
It is not without reason that Flanders is known in Belgium as the “treasure house of the West”. It surprises with an unexpected wealth of sights, whether the magnificent cathedrals of Brabantine Gothic, the splendid town halls and cloth halls of the old trading cities, or its charming landscapes. Multicultural, colourful and diverse, the capital of Belgium combines traces of the past with landmarks of modern architecture.
Day 1: Switzerland - Ghent
Travel via Basel to Metz and through Luxembourg to Ghent.
The last pick-up point in Switzerland is Basel, Meret Oppenheim-Strasse, at 09.10.
Day 2: Ghent - Antwerp
Today you will explore Ghent with the local guide. In the afternoon (optional) you can take a day trip with the tour guide to Antwerp, where you will discover another "pearl" of Flanders.
Day 3: Bruges
Day trip to Bruges. With your guide, stroll through the historic old town. In the afternoon, you can discover the city from a different angle on a canal cruise through its picturesque canals.
Day 4: Ghent
Discover the charming city of Ghent at your own pace. It is home to numerous well-preserved historic buildings, including the Gravensteen (a moated castle), St Bavo's Cathedral and St Nicholas' Church.
Day 5: Brussels
Day trip to Brussels, the capital of not only Belgium but also Europe. The city offers a rich cultural, gastronomic and festive programme, not to mention its cultural heritage.
Day 6: Ghent - Luxembourg
Drive to Luxembourg. On a city tour you will get to know Luxembourg better. It is a cultural hub, with museums, theatres and event halls everywhere.
Day 7: Luxembourg - Switzerland
Journey home through Alsace back to Switzerland.
You will stay for 5 nights at the modern
4* Hotel NH Collection Gent Belfort, in the heart of the historic city centre. Many of the city's main sights are nearby, including St Bavo's Cathedral, the Gravensteen castle and the Ghent Belfry. The comfortable rooms all have a shower or bath/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi, minibar and safe. Equivalent hotels if unavailable.
