Frequently asked questions about your coach trip

From booking to the journey home: answers to the most important questions.

Where do I board, where do I park, how do I reserve my preferred seat? Here you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions: from boarding points and parking to seats, prices and insurance, right through to luggage and refreshments on board. Is your question not here? Our travel advisers will be happy to help you in person: 0848 000 212, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00.

12.

Is the money for my trip safe?

Yes. EUROBUS has been a member of the Swiss Travel Industry Guarantee Fund since the fund was founded. The amounts you pay for your booking are 100% protected there. If a tour operator becomes insolvent during your holiday, the guarantee fund arranges your journey home.

13.

Do all advertised trips go ahead?

EUROBUS guarantees that the published travel dates will go ahead. If there are fewer than 10 participants, EUROBUS reserves the right to cancel a trip for ecological and economic reasons.

14.

Am I insured in the event of a coach accident?

Yes. As an occupant, you are insured under the vehicle’s liability insurance. EUROBUS is insured beyond the statutory requirements: liability damage is covered up to CHF 100 million per claim, and additional accident insurance covers, among other things, unlimited treatment costs for 5 years as well as rescue and transport costs.

15.

Is my luggage insured against theft?

In the luggage hold, yes: travel luggage such as suitcases and travel bags is insured only against theft from the coach’s luggage hold. Items stolen from the passenger compartment are not insured, for example handbags, cameras, money and valuables, passports and papers. EUROBUS accepts no liability outside the coach.

16.

How much luggage can I take?

EUROBUS transports one item of luggage per person, and you take hand luggage on board with you. Sports equipment such as bicycles or surfboards is generally not transported on package tours; please discuss your request with the sales staff when you book.

17.

How do the Comfort, Deluxe and Premium travel classes differ?

The travel classes differ in the comfort level of the coaches, the choice of hotels and the travel programme. Comfort tours use the Comfort coach with 4 seats per row and stay in 3* hotels. In the Deluxe coach, with the same vehicle length, there are only 3 seats per row: you have more space and legroom, stay in 4* and 3* hotels and travel in smaller groups. Car Rouge Premium tours combine the Premium coach with three-abreast seating with 5* and 4* hotels. You will find a comparison on the “Our coaches” page.

18.

Do I have to wear a seat belt on the coach?

Yes. All EUROBUS coaches are fitted with seat belts, and wearing them is compulsory.

19.

Are drinks and refreshments available on board?

Yes. EUROBUS coaches have a refrigerator and a coffee machine. Chilled drinks, coffee and tea are always available. On night journeys, snacks and light meals are also offered.

20.

What is a night journey to a beach holiday like?

As a rule, a dinner stop in Switzerland and two additional stops are planned; the number and length of the breaks follow the Swiss ordinance on working and rest hours for professional drivers (ARV). On night journeys, there are always two drivers per coach and a hostess on board, who looks after the passengers’ refreshments. You do not need a boarding card for beach holiday transfers, but please bring your booking confirmation.

21.

Is smoking allowed on the coach?

No, EUROBUS coaches are non-smoking. Smokers are still welcome: enough breaks are planned along the way.

22.

Can I bring pets?

No. For reasons of hygiene, pets such as dogs and cats are not allowed on board EUROBUS coaches.
