Frequently asked questions about your coach trip

From booking to the journey home: answers to the most important questions.

Where do I board, where do I park, how do I reserve my preferred seat? Here you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions: from boarding points and parking to seats, prices and insurance, right through to luggage and refreshments on board. Is your question not here? Our travel advisers will be happy to help you in person: 0848 000 212, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00.

23.

How much do young children cost on the coach?

Nothing on the coach: children up to 2 years travel free of charge in their own seat on the coach. Any costs at the hotel are settled directly there.

24.

Does my child need a child seat on the coach?

Child seats are not required in coaches for children aged 4 and over (Art. 3a para. 4 of the Swiss Traffic Rules Ordinance, VRV). If you are travelling with younger children, please bring a suitable child seat yourself; EUROBUS cannot provide child seats. Coaches have lap belts: child seats that have to be secured with a three-point belt cannot be fixed in them.

25.

I travel by wheelchair. What do I need to do?

Tell the sales staff about your request or your wish for a special service. They will inform you of all the options.

26.

I have hearing difficulties. Can I still follow guided tours well?

Yes, on numerous round trips: there, EUROBUS uses the Quietvox wireless audio system. It transmits guided city walks and museum visits in high sound quality; people with hearing aids receive the live commentary directly through their hearing aid. On the coach, the driver passes on important information through a microphone.

27.

Is it less comfortable to sit over the wheel?

No. Modern coaches have electronically controlled air suspension, which ensures the same ride comfort at every seat.

28.

How much should I tip the driver?

A tip is a voluntary gesture for a service you were satisfied with, and is given at your own discretion. As a guideline, CHF 5 to CHF 10 per person per day.

29.

I left something on the coach. What can I do?

If the item is very important, call the on-call service. Otherwise, contact a EUROBUS location on the next working day. You can collect the lost item, or EUROBUS will send it to you by post for a contribution towards costs.

30.

Can I offset the CO₂ emissions of my trip?

Yes. With EUROBUS, you can offset the CO₂ emissions of your round trip or group trip. The contribution goes to various climate protection projects via the non-profit myclimate foundation. For group trips, please ask your contact person directly.

31.

Where can I get EUROBUS travel catalogues?

The travel catalogues are free of charge. You can get them at any EUROBUS location during office hours or order them from our travel advisers on 0848 000 212.

32.

Where can I buy a travel voucher and how long is it valid?

You can get travel vouchers at any EUROBUS location, or you can order them online. The voucher is issued for any amount, can be redeemed against all EUROBUS trips and is valid for two years: a gift where the recipients choose their own trip. As a rule, EUROBUS does not extend travel vouchers; please ask the sales staff about individual cases.

33.

What does minimum package mean?

A minimum package is a coach journey only, without a hotel offer.
